Obama: I'm King of the World!

Response to John Sununu's Boston Globe Op-Ed: Death by Order of Your President

I commend former Senator John Sununu for raising awareness to abusive executive power. In 2009, he DID support habeas corpus rights to locked up suspected terrorists, like the 100+ currently held in Gitmo. It's perplexing why Sununu would be supporting Mitt Romney - who has left open the right to torture and imprison indefinitely - Obama only supports the latter.

I voted for Nader in 2008 because Obama reversed his stance on retroactive immunity for telecom companies for spying on Americans after 9/11 (FISA). He let them off the hook. Obama's a politician, pure and simple, but at least he's moving us in the right direction.

George W. Bush is responsible for torture, rendition, murder, AND illegal wars. W left a mess for Obama - but this is no excuse. Obama has exploded the use of drones - turning war into a video game.

Obama deserves no praise for killing Awlaki the way he did - or bin Laden for that matter (even the Dalai Lama said it was good we killed bin Laden). I say try them in court. This is America, let's start playing by the rules - our rules.
