Why Mitt Can't Win

God love Mitt for trying, but he just doesn't have it.

"It" being charisma, compassion & a sense of honesty.

Romney's first TV ad was broadcast in New Hampshire showing Obama saying: "if we keep talking about the economy, we're going to lose."

Turns out, if you took Obama's entire sentence, the statement reads: "My opponent John McCain recently said 'if we keep talking about the economy, we're going to lose.'" See the difference?

Seems like politics as usual but the amazing thing here is how the campaign admits to the selective editing. They seem proud of it.

Are the Republicans so out of touch with reality that they cannot see the flaw with easily provable and outright lying?

Trusting Mitt Romney

Romney was a fine Governor for Massachusetts, most notable for his role in mandating health insurance in the state - but you wouldn't think that if you listened to today's 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Romney excoriates Obamacare (which apparently served as a model for Romneycare - although Obama never called Mitt for advice) as one of his major points against voting for Obama.

That's Mitt's problem right there: he's against everything bad and for everything good. But you can't be everything to everyone at the same time in a national campaign.

That's a ridiculous notion, and that's what the man has become.

Can you trust a man who has his jeans dry-cleaned?

He can't pick a side on any issue. Instead of just choosing a position, he hedges, and ends up taking all sides, on all issues, to different crowds - now seemingly all the time.

He has become a walking parody of himself (remember this little nugget of gold: SNL plays actual 2008 Romney Campaign Ad to riotous laughter).

It's fine that he's changed his mind on issues (in the case of abortion he changed his mind at the age of 40), but he struggles to answer WHY he's changed his mind. Just get a simple one sentence talking point and move away from it.

It's incredible that a multi-million dollar campaign staff cannot extinguish the simple notion: that Mitt is out of touch.

Here's the answer: just be honest. #mrRoboto
